Supplies needed:
- 1- SPDT Relay
- Breadboard
- Alligator clips or wire
- 2 - leds - different colors if possible
- 1 - 680 uF resistor. 1K will also work
- 1 - SPST push button or tact switch
- 12v power supply
- Single row MM pin header strip
- 12v power supply
It is also helpful to have a set of needle nose pliers, wire cutters, and multimeter. This demo can be completed without tools but they are helpful if when using a breadboard and custom power supply.
I modified an adjustable AC adapter with alligator clips. I cut off the connector, stripped the leads and taped alligator clips to the wires. It is very useful when supplying power to a breadboard.
